Let me 'splain

He never did provide me with a good excuse as to why the brand new roll of toilet paper was covering the powder room floor (for those of you who have spoken with Sam, you know it tends to sound like, "a dip a dip a dip a dip a dip a Mama").
Good thing for him he is so darn cute!

Happy Birthday Gramps!

We took a little road trip to visit my parents and grandparents. It was a surprise for my Papa (the kids call him "Gramps" and call my Dad, "Papa") as he was celebrating a birthday. He claimed he turned 39, but seeing as how I am turning 31 this year, I find this a little suspicious. We had a wonderful time. We visited the aquarium and ate out as a family and laughed. A lot. How blessed we are to have such a great family and time together to celebrate!

Valentine's Day: Party of 5

We have had a wonderful, low-key Valentine's Day. My migraines were gone, the kids let us sleep in until eight, we had heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast, and took a walk to the park. It was great to get out in the fresh air and let out some energy. After lunch and some nice, long naps, we shared two HUGE filet mignon, fresh green beans, and loaded baked potatoes. I had a pretty wonderful day with the four people love most.

More Snow

We got a few more inches of snow this weekend and the kids (big and small) loved it! Right after breakfast, Matt go the kids bundled up and outside to play. It didn't stick to the roads and didn't last much past the afternoon, but it sure was beautiful to look at while it was here.

Valentine's Day Party

Caroline's class had their Valentine's Day party on Thursday. The parents were invited to attend and got to place our treats and Valentine's cards into the sweet little mailboxes the children had made. The kids had made a card for us parents along with a picture and picture frame. Cookies, milk, and music; the teachers made the party so special!
