Playground starts with "P"

Today was "P" day in Caroline's class. The kids were encouraged to bring items that started with "P" for sharing time and wear something that began with the letter as well (Caroline wore piggy tails). Because of the wonderfully warm weather (remind me to use that phrase on "W" day) we stayed after school with some of the other children and made great use of the playground. It was a wonderful taste of spring and a great way to get out some energy (as I write this, they are napping so quietly!).

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess

March 2nd is the birthday of Dr. Suess (and our dear Brayden, more to come on his special birthday). Caroline's class celebrated with silly dress day and Caroline was more than a little excited to wear these tights. I love the things that her class does and the way that her teachers go the extra mile to make the learning so much fun.

Silly Faces

Emma Kate is like her Daddy when the camera comes out. She usually clams up and refuses me a smile...unless I say, "make a silly face" and then she sticks her fingers in the corners of her mouth and sticks out her tongue. Super cute.

Comfort

Because of this bruise on his noggin
Sam needed extra comfort this evening. Poor guy was running toward me and hit the corner of the wall I was leaning against and it was an instant bruise. I grabbed his blanket and pacifier to help him calm down and when it was bath time, he refused to give them, up.
I figured that since he had back ups for bed, there was no harm in him having them. I didn't count on that being the only blanket he wanted and crying for the wet one and refusing the dry ones I offered.
