Moms and Muffins

Caroline's class had a Mother's Day brunch for us and it was wonderful. "Moms and Muffins" not only was a great treat, it allowed us some time in the classroom to see the artwork of the students and the different learning areas that they spend so much time at. I love getting an inside view of the preschool world. Her teachers are so creative and give so much to the students. The muffins were great and the coffee even better! Thanks Ms. Marianne and Ms. Heidi!

New Room for a Big Girl

Teri's daughter, Sydney, received her grandmother's desk and gave Caroline her old desk. Along with it came the vanity, mirror, hutch, storage unit with baskets, and vanity stool. The whole set looks brand new and it perfect for Caroline's room. Emma Kate and Caroline have been using both pieces as desks and sit and color for hours. We can never pay back Teri and her family enough for the many things they do for us!

Happy 4th Birthday Sweet Caroline

the day started with breakfast on request: cheese grits in her princess bowl, toast with extra butter, milk with ice in her CInderella cup

presents so patiently waited for
new bike

art supplies from Aunt Mindy
making homemade pizzas
the BEST pizza we've ever eaten...no more frozen pizza in this house!
pineapple pizza for C and Me
Barbie Island Princess cake with 4 candles
birthday bath (in Mommy's bath with extra bubbles)
Matthew and I were probably just as excited to celebrate with Caroline as she was to have a birthday. This is the first birthday that she really was into it and understood what a birthday was all about. I love that she was not just into the gifts, but took joy in choosing her cake flavor, breakfast, and dinner. Caroline continues to be a true joy to us. She made us what no one else ever had...parents. Happy Birthday Sweet Caroline!

Clara's Birthday

Our next door neighbor, Clara, was turning three and we were invited to the party. It was a fun morning and the kids enjoyed playing. This is the place where we are having Caroline's birthday party and it is a really neat indoor playground. Every time we go back, I like it more and more because the twins are able to do so much of it on their own and get a little more adventurous each time. Happy Birthday Clara!

Cecilia's Birthday

Caroline's friend, Cecilia, had her birthday at the Durham museum of life and science. Wow! What a cool place! They had bugs for the kids to touch, a dinosaur trail, fossil dig site, real black bears, farm animals, and a huge playground with picnic area...and that was just the outside! While we did make it into the butterfly house and bug exhibits, we didn't get a chance to take a look around the main building. We will certainly be going back to tour the inside of the facility and revisit the outdoors again.
